I AM a documentary FILMMAKER focused on storytelling for impact.

I am a documentary filmmaker focused on character-driven storytelling that can create impact, shift perspectives and connect audiences to people and places they might otherwise never encounter.

My acclaimed feature documentary Landfill Harmonic screened at more than 250 festivals worldwide, winning over 40 awards—including audience awards at SXSW and AFI Fest—before being acquired by HBO. The Oscar-qualifying film follows The Recycled Orchestra in Paraguay that makes music with instruments built entirely from garbage. It was selected for the American Film Showcase, the U.S. Department of State’s film diplomacy program, and my work on the film received a Humanitas Prize.

My directing work also includes Patrol, a feature documentary following Indigenous communities fighting to protect their land from illegal cattle ranching in Nicaragua; Dani’s Twins, about one of the few quadriplegic women to ever give birth to twins; and The Bridge, an uplifting film about ten Israeli survivors of the October 7 attacks who find healing through rock ’n’ roll.

As an editor, my work spans documentaries, natural history, television and sports. Recent projects include Heart of a Lion, a feature documentary exploring the hidden lives of mountain lions across the American West and the scientists working to understand them; Niagara Falls for PBS’s NATURE; and ORIGINS, the University of Alabama’s long-form series exploring the stories, struggles, and defining moments behind its athletes and coaches.

I also edited Never Too Late: The Doc Severinsen Story, directed by Friends producer Kevin S. Bright and released by PBS’s American Masters and Peacock; John Leguizamo: Live at Rikers, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival; and episodes of the HISTORY and VICELAND series Hunting ISIS.

Before becoming a filmmaker, I spent three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua. I hold an M.A. in Film and Video Production from American University and am a native of Georgia.

When I’m not making films, you can usually find me camping, hiking, playing soccer, scuba diving, or doing just about anything that gets me outdoors.
